Does not require tightening of the latex ring.
You just spread the latex ring open with the simple to use applicator.
Fitting the latex ring should normally only take 10 to 20 seconds.

Bigger castrator than the normal sheep castrator.
Rings are twice as strong as normal marking rings, with flat sides that stop them slipping off the applicator.
Rings open twice as big as normal rings to 6cm x 6cm x 6cm
We don't recommend using standard marking rings with this applicator.
Suitable on new born calves up to 180kg.
Applicator is not supplied with rings.

Marking Rings

Quality rubber standard sheep marking rings, used on lambs, kids.

Marking rings are intended for use on calves no older than two weeks and lambs and goats no older than 30 days.
The younger the stock the better. Use outside this period is not recommended.
We suggest you check your state laws regarding castrating animals if you are unsure.
These quality marking rings are available in 100, 500, 2000.

Eze Castrator

Mature bull latex ring bander or castrator.

Eze Castrator
The big daddy of castrating, the Eze castrator uses latex rings, there is no need to guess how tight to install the rings as once they are installed around the scrotum the ring returns to it's normal size and cuts off the blood supply.
The latex rings come with an aluminium clip to secure it an built in knife cuts the ring and you are ready to reload.
20-40 days later the scrotum should fall off.
This castrator can be used on cattle, Sheep and goats and is best used on animals ranging from 160kg to over 450kg.
The kit contains 25 latex rings and clips, castrator and instructional video .
Tests in university's show a 10-15% improvement in gain both in post and pre-weaning in bull calves over early castrated calves.
Natural testosterone also increases frame and carcass cutability.
Band castration does not interrupt the rate of gain and is bloodless, this causes minimal discomfort to the animal and minimises setbacks, infection and deaths associated with surgical castration.
With the Eze you can double your fist and slip your hand through the opening for ease of use.
The Castrator requires a latex band and aluminium clip to hold the band in place.

Callicrate Bander

Mature bull castrator or bander. Proven over the years.

The Bander was developed in the USA to ensure that bulls can achieve the fastest possible growth rates, without need of artificial hormonal growth promotents.
They are easily and humanely castrated at the latest appropriate stage.
The Callicrate Bander can be used on larger animals to quickly, cleanly, non-surgically and most important humanely remove the testicles.
Management can be modified to castrate nearer maturity maximising the growth induced by natural testosterone.
The bull will achieve a greater hook weight and still have the carcase characteristics of a steer when killed.
The Bander uses a strong rubber cord inserted into a patented application device.
The cord is stretched over the scrotum before being tightened by a ratchet mechanism and then locked firmly into position using a metal clip.
With a little practice the procedure is both faster and safer than using a knife or other castration instruments.
The Bander kit includes the bander tool, loop cutter, 5 loops and demonstration video, all supplied in a sturdy kit box.

The quickest and easiest bander available on the market!
Animals can be banded in under a minute with the California Bander.
Simply clip a band in, grab the scrotem and stretch the band around, once it’s around clip the band in and release from the tool.

Delayed castration allows you to take advantage of the testosterone that naturally helps young bulls grow faster!

1. Research shows that if you leave bull calves intact they will typically grow 15 % faster and will also convert feed 20 % more efficiently than steer calves.

These are precision instruments from Europe for the humane and bloodless castration of livestock by severing the testicular cord without injury to the scrotum. There is no bloodshed and without the problems you would normally get with other methods.
