During mass vaccination of livestock where needles are re-used, several problems may occur:
• Disease transmission between animals
• Abscess and infection from bacterial contamination
• Needle stick injuries to you!
To reduce these risks the Stermatic System has been developed.
The Stericap is a unique, precision moulded, airtight container enclosing a plug of foam. This foam carries a liquid disinfecting agent.
As the needle passes through the Stericap, it is swabbed clean by the foam and coated with disinfectant that destroys bacterial and viral pathogens.
The Stericap has been tested extensively in both laboratory and field conditions where it has proved very effective against both bacterial and viral contaminants.
Tests show no effect on some live vaccines, this is because the Stericap cleans the outside of the needle and the injectable 'flushing action' cleaned the inside.
Do not use where disinfectants are contra-indicated.
The Stericap system has been used around the world by Government departments, major pharmaceutical companies, veterinary practices and major livestock operations for over 20 years.
Stericap contains 2.5% Gluteraldehyde & 5% Bardac22.

Three different sleeves are available for different injection depths
Clear sleeve for ½ inch (12.5mm) injection. Use a 1 inch needle with this sleeve.
Green sleeve for 1 inch (24mm) injection Use a 1½ inch needle with this sleeve.
Blue sleeve for a 1½ inch (37mm injection Use a 3 inch needle with this sleeve.
Syringes and needles can be cleaned and re-used.
The Sterimatic pack will safely and cleanly deliver 500 doses.

Vaximate 1ml - 2ml and 5ml Vaccinator Guns

These vaccinators have been tried and tested and used world wide for some time.
While these look like plastic, they are actually glass-filled nylon, making them almost indestructible.
The operation is smooth and easy, even if the plunger is depressed at unusual and inappropriate angles!
The Vaximate valve system has high tolerance for any known remedy. (But please note: copper remedies can still damage the gun if left idle, even for short periods.)
These vaccinators feature the patented Needle Release Grip cap to reduce the problem of needle stick when removing the needle.
Vaximates are supplied with two 18g x ½ inch stainless steel hypodermic needles, and one spare O ring.
Draw off tube is not supplied.
Vaximates feature fully variable dose adjustments.
The barrel are permanently etched. 1ml in 0.1ml graduations, 2ml in 0.2ml graduations, 5ml in 0.5ml graduations.

This applicators are serviceable via removing the cylinder from the handle to access the front valve and by unscrewing the pushgrip to access the back valve.

Lock n Load 20ml and 50ml Non Automatic Injectors

An ideal vaccinator for the farmer who does not have a huge mob of livestock, or has only a small number of head to vaccinate.

These plastic Vaccinators use the same principle as those often called Pistol Grip or Roux Revolver syringes.
The advantage is there is no draw off tube and no valves or other moving parts to go wrong.
To load these vaccinators, simply insert the needle into the product and pull out the piston shaft.
The dose rate is then set in the dial-a-dose window.
Each time the vaccinator is used, the piston shaft is ratcheted down by that amount, until it is empty. You then simply re-fill the unit.
Featured is also the NRG needle cap, designed to help prevent needle stick injury to the operator when removing the needle.
This unit is easily pulled apart for cleaning without any tools.
20ml version is adjustable in 0.5ml to 5ml in 0.5ml doses.
50ml version is adjustable in 1ml to 5ml in 1ml doses.
