The plastic bottles do not flatten out, even after repeated use.
Replace the cap after each continuous usage. (To keep the brush head in top condition, apply a little vaseline inside the cap, to keep air out).
Tell Tail fluro colours are highly visible, even in low light conditions.
The paint is very heavy (1 litre = 1.4kg) and soaks into the hair without cracking apart and falling off.
One litre will do approx 80-100 cows.

Tailpaint ~ FIL Aerosol 500ml

Aerosol tail paint and stock marker.

Fil tailpaint aerosols can be used as tail paint, or as very good general purpose stock markers, particularly suitable for cattle (not for use on wool).
Colours are non fluro, but are highly visible and will usually last at least three weeks, even in wet weather.
So as well as being genuine tail paints for mating identification, they are also ideal for antibiotic and other high risk warning marks in the dairy.

Tailpaint ~ FIL 1 Litre Tins

Although the new applicators are very popular now, the old bush and tin method of application still has many advantages.
Not only is it much more economical, but it can also be much quicker to use, especially in large dairies where one person can move quickly along the row painting tail bones.
An old ice cream container is ideal, along with a cheap disposable brush.
Tail Mark is non-fluro, but makes solid easy to see at a distance marks.
Oil based, but just stand brushes in water overnight and they can be used again.

Using BioPRYN assures accuracy. The accuracy is 99 percent when the test determines an animal open, giving producers confidence to administer prostaglandin and restart a synchronization program.
There is as much as a 5 percent false-pregnancy rate from the test, primarily due to early embryonic death which is a challenge regardless of which method if used for pregnancy detection.

How does it all work?
What is BioPRYN™?
BioPRYN™ (Pregnancy Ruminant Yes/No) is a pregnancy detection procedure in cattle. It measures presence of Pregnancy-Specific Protein B (PSPB) in the circulation. PSPB is a protein from the placenta.
BioPRYN™ begins with collection of the blood sample from the cow. Then samples are shipped to the laboratory where an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is performed. Reports are available within 27 hours of lab set-up and may be accessed from your account which is located in the members area on the labs website, or they can be emailed or faxed to you.

The A.I. Handycope is a high-powered portable microscope designed as a fast and reliable method of motility screening in artificial insemination applications. Using the A.I. Handycope, you can quickly assess the motility of the sample either after collection or prior to insemination.
The A.I. Handycope is easy to handle and use, and the high-powered LED light guarantees clear and bright images even in dark working environments. It is powered by a lithium battery and can be carried anywhere it is required.
How it Works
Note: For best motility estimation, the sample and slide should be warmed to body temperature.
1. Invert the sample several times to suspend the sperm.
2. Using the included disposable pipets, or a resuable pipettor, place a small drop (about 20 µl) of sample within the well of the polycarbonate slide.
3. Place a the coverslip on top of well.
4. Turn on the Handycope LED illumination using the on-off disc beneath the unit.
5. Slip the polycarbonate slide under the objective, so that the well is directly beneath the objective lens. The beveled edges of the slide will hold it securely in place.
6. Place the A.I. Handycope on a sturdy surface.
7. While holding the bottom, look through the eyepiece. The image may be focused as needed by rotating the top half of the A.I. Handycope.
(A standard glass microscope slide may also be used.)
About the Polycarbonate Slide
The Polycarbonate slide was specially designed for use with the A.I. Handycope unit. It reduces temperature effects on sperm motility and the beveled edges of the slide hold it securely in place under the objective. The well allows freer swimming motion of the sperm and allows the user to calculate a rough estimate of concentration. Limited reuse of the slide is possible with careful cleaning.

Mating Harness Chin Ball for Cattle

The Chin-Ball Cattle Mating Harness is used in herd managment around the world for identifying mated cattle, or for marking cows empty or to be mated.

The robust harness - halter has a cone shaped device underneath which contains a freely rotating ball, working on the same principle as a ball-pen. The stainless steel ball container can be filled with ink of the desired colour. Each fill is enough to mark 25-30 cows (approx. 0.5 litre). When a cow is properly in season she will receive very clearly identifiable back markings from the bull (or cow) wearing the device. Marks fade in 4 to 14 days. We suggest changing colours on a 3 week cycle, to prevent any confusion. Ink is available in 1 litre containers.

CIDR Progesterone Implants for Cattle, Sheep & Goat

CIDR Cattle Insert
Progesterone is given to cows and heifers as an implant. One form available in Australia is the CIDR Cattle Insert, which achieves synchrony by lengthening the oestrus cycle while it remains implanted. It releases progesterone, which is the same as the natural hormone produced by the corpeus luteum on the ovary between Day 7–17 of the normal cycle.
When the implant is removed the progesterone level in the bloodstream drops quickly.
This results in another egg developing and normal signs of oestrus behaviour are shown.
The progesterone implants have the advantage over prostaglandins in that they will not cause abortions if they are used on pregnant animals (in fact they may have the opposite effect and may be able to help sustain some early pregnancies) and are also still effective if used on cows that have just been in season. Progesterone treatment can be used to stimulate the hormonal system of cows that are not cycling (anoestrus).
The benefits of using the CIDR Cattle Insert include:
