Hi Jay, I felt a need to drop you a line and let you know just how good these Led Lenser torches are. They are excellent.
After reading the write up in your catalogue, I must say that the performance of these incredible torches far surpassed all expectations.
We have a small property in Qld, running a few breeder cattle and horses, and I work a job that is mostly afternoon shift. Murphy’s law has it that if anything is to go wrong it will be at night and probably on a weekend (and possibly raining).
Consequently we need torches which are reliable, long lasting, robust and powerful when searching for an animal at night such a cow calving, shooting wild dogs, foxes and a multitude of other jobs.
The Led Lenser P17 which you recommended to me ticks all the boxes.
You have to see it in action to believe how powerful it is.
The adjustable beam is a real eye opener. I am amazed at the torches output every time I use it, which is often and battery life is phenominal. It lights up the night in a big way and markedly better than the 100W spotlight connected in my ute.
The P17 is so convenient, just grab it and go and this allows me to freely walk through the paddocks without the risk of driving over an animal down in the long grass.
However when I’ve found what I’m looking for, I often need two hands free and that’s where the Led Lenser rechargeable head torch really shines.
There is no headlamp that I have ever seen or used that could compare. Having adjustable beam focus and adjustable brightness makes it ideal for tackling whatever the task may be. It is very comfortable to wear and that is important considering I might have it on for 3 or 4 hours at a time.
I use it for all sorts of jobs, even during the day when really good light is required for assembling an engine or the like, or on an overcast day where very good on the job light is required.
As a matter of fact, the head light on my Ag Bike stopped working. One night needing to use the bike, I grabbed the Led Lenser head torch and away I went. The incredible beam it produced was by far, better than the Ag Bike’s headlight. The bonus is that where ever I looked that’s where the light was and that was a real advantage when riding around the farm at night. Needless to say, I’m not worried about fixing the headlight on the Ag Bike.
Battery life is excellent and I do keep it topped up with the 240V battery charger which came with the torch, so that the head torch is ready to go at all times. These two Led Lenser torches you sold me are a breath of fresh air after having bought countless torches over the years and they all finished up in the rubbish bin, some sooner than others.
The Led Lensers get lots of use and they are standing the test of time in very good style. When I need another torch, it will definately be a Led Lenser.
