By using The Knife you will get more for store cattle and less brusing of prime cattle, as well as very neatly dehorn cattle in only one treatment.
The Knife will do calves fron two weeks to six months of age, depending on the amount of horn growth. Larger horns can be done with the Super-Scoop dehorners, and anything missed can easily be trimmed off with The Knife. By dehorning calves younger you reduce stress and bleeding.
Keeping The Knife sharp will allow you to do up to four hundred calves without sharpening.
Use a good diamond steel to sharpen, and wash and dry it throughly after use.
